CAROLINE ACHAINTRE - SHIFTINGS

The exhibition and catalogue offer an insight into the Franco-German artist's memorable oeuvre, which is characterised by precision, experimentation and unconventionality. Achaintre's ceramics, watercolours and imposing large-format tapestries are invitations to the free play of the imagination. The title Shiftings alludes not only to the fact that Achaintre brings traditional techniques such as tapestry and ceramics into the present, but also to the constant exploration of the boundaries between abstraction and figuration.
