HERE, THE DOORS DON'T KNOW ME

Through photography, community archives, handwritten letters and testimonies, the project follows the inhabitants of Al-Max, a historic fishing neighbourhood in Alexandria, Egypt, now threatened with displacement. As urban development erases their daily lives and traditions, Mohamed Mahdy builds the work together with the residents themselves.
