This publication intersperses essays from scholars, historians, and thinkers with a selection of Allan Sekulas seminal texts and ex cerpts from his private notebooks. The title is a reference to Okeanosson of Gaia, the Greek goddess of the earthwho ruled over th e oceans and water. Made and written across the decades, Sekulas sketches and texts focus on maritime space and the material, econo mic, and ecological implications of globalization.
