Pablo Picasso (1881-1973) is considered one of the most important artists of the first half of the 20th century and is certainly one of the most popular representatives of classical modernism. His exuberant, multifaceted work is regarded as a paradigm of artistic freedom and continues to fascinate with a creativity that is constantly reinventing itself. This stylistic diversity and artistic development, which often appears erratic but is nevertheless consistent, is reflected in the approximately 65 works on paper in the exhibition.
