PICASSO BECKMANN

The Von der Heydt Museum in Wuppertal has organised such an imaginary summit meeting. The show "Man - Myth - World", created in cooperation with the Sprengel Museum Hanover, synchronises the lives of the two artists, who were almost the same age - Picasso lived from 1881 to 1973, Beckmann from 1884 to 1950. The exhibition works out what unites and separates their artistic attitudes. And it looks for parallels in terms of the iconography and style of their painting.
