UNDERGROUND DOESN’T EXIST ANYMORE
Category: Contemporary art monographs
Between 2012 and 2014, after curator Hugo Vitrani's invitational, Lek and Sowat settled in the depths of the Palais de Tokyo. They also invited 50 more artists to participate in performances or paint the basement or forgotten empty spaces of this art center. The three chapters of this exhibition originated what became the "Lasco Project", the very first urban art oriented program led by the Palais de Tokyo. And through this book, Lek & Sowat wanted to show afterward how wide and diverse these works were. Particularly when it was just a temporary experiment or purposedly invisible or unreachable to the public visiting. With : Alëxone, agnès b.
