A few hours in hell

A few hours in hell

On Wednesday, February 7, the course began A few hours in hell. Reading of the first song of the Divine Comedy of Dante. This is a monthly meeting coordinated by Rossend Arqués, president of the Catalan Society for Dante's Studies (SCED) and with the collaboration of Professor Eduard Vilella, from the UAB, and Josep Mª Micó, of the UPF. The three will help us discover and enjoy Dante's fascinating poem, analyzing it to see verse and discerning his words and ideas.

The project is stimulating: it consists of dedicating three years, reading and analyzing each year a song: Hell during 2018, Purgatory during 2019 and Paradise during 2020, to arrive in 2021 with sufficient knowledge to celebrate the 700th anniversary of the death of one of the greatest poets of universal literature.

At the next session, on March 7, José Mª Micó will guide us in reading songs from 4 to 7. There are places available.
