Vampires. The evolution of the myth.

CaixaForum Barcelona, from October 29, 2020 to January 31, 2021.

The myth of the vampire has been the pretext of numerous film adaptations during the 20th and 21st centuries. This exhibition at CaixaForum Barcelona brings together a selection of these films that goes through the works of directors of very varied styles such as Dreyer, Browning, Tourneur, Polanski, Herzog, Coppola, Burton, Bigelow and Weerasethakul.

In addition to films, literary works and artistic interpretations of the myth are shown: the surrealist collages of Max Ernst and some engravings of Los Caprichos by Goya, among others. In this way, films and works of art enter into dialogue in this multidisciplinary exhibition.
