Buildings and structures play a major role in the work of Ângela Ferreira. They can be read as political contexts, and the various f actors and issues they encompass can be a meaningful, basic premise for the production of contemporary art. This project revolves around Portugals SAAL Brigades, instituted in 1974 as a practical instrument to address the massive demand for housing, and involving participation and direct action by residents.
