BERNARDI ROIG

The Majorcan multimedia artist B. Roig is one of the most important representatives of the contemporary art scene in Spain. With his bizarrely disturbing polyester resin sculptures of older men with sagging bellies and unbuttoned trousers, this gifted storyteller of human drama has created a unique oeuvre. Complemented by fluorescent tubes, the pain in the faces of his despondent protagonists becomes so vivid that it burns itself into the viewers mind.
