HIRO MATSUOKA: B'S VANITY
Materia: Monografías fotógrafos
The third monograph of Matsuoka, accompanied with the two quotations from King Lear by William Shakespeare, deals with the theme "vanity".As his former series, these images were all found in the daily life, yet carefully composed to emphasis the perishable beauty and fleeting youth in this volume. Keeping a distance to documentary aspect or critical journalism, by depicting the objects that one sees in a street, his narrative images also reveal a subtle reference to the cruel fate of modern society. "B's Vanity" includes thirty nine b/w photographs in a square format, off-set printed with duplex in an edition of 500.
