Jeff Wall, who lectured at Canadian universities for 25 years and published numerous art history texts, is considered one of the pio neering artists who have been exploring the affinities between photography, painting and film since the 1970s. The latest retrospective of his work is currently on display at the Fondazione MAST, a gallery for photography and media art in Bologna.
