From 1906 Picasso started depicting women in a rather provocative manner. Their portrayal is not realistic as he presents them havin g a double representation: they are depicted as unattractive and ugly, possessing masculine characteristics while they preserve thei r sexuality through their nakedness and their erotic pose.
