Legend has it that is the gypsies come from Agartha, an underground, magical and inaccessible region deep within the earth. They returned to this world possessing the mystery of omens according to cards, magical knowledge of herbs and palmisttry. I crossed the whole of Romania by train to the Moldavian border in search of the knowledge of occult science. This book is the fruit of that search. It was the witches who showed me that I had indeed embarked on a journey into the magic that exists in each of us.
