This title documents communities of runaway slaves (known as 'marronge') throughout the Americas/ from Louisiana to Jamaica, from Cu ba to Haiti, Colombia and Brazil. Despite their vital role in the global anti-slavery struggle the marronge are still poorly underst ood. In documenting them, this title helps to address this.
