PUBLIC PHOTOGRAPHIC SPACES

This publication is structured around the chronology of twelve photographic exhibitions which were been held between 1928 and 1955: exhibitions in post-revolutionary Russia or in America during the Cold War, German, Italian and Spanish photo exhibitions in the Thi rties and others in MoMA during the Second World War, for example. Each one is documented with a selection of images from the exhibi tion spaces, institutional texts, news at the time and later essays.
