The publication accompanies the exhibition, a pre-internet era, historical survey of female artists who were either working with com puter technologies, or taking up the subject of computing and cybernetics in their work. It documents a lesser-known history of the inception of digital art, countering conventional narratives on art and technology by focusing entirely on female figures. It includes twenty-seven new interviews with artists and over 200 illustrations.
