XAVIER VALLS

The basement of the Volart 2 gallery is receiving the work of the Catalan painter Xavier Valls (Barcelona, 1923-2006), who moved to Paris in the 1950's. Glòria Bosch, the show's curator, has avoided any attempt at a chronological classification and presents, with a selection of 24 pieces from his periods in Horta and Paris, the timeless essence of his work. The show includes early works from h is long career and establishes parallels between other artistic disciplines, such as music, which were vital to his creative process .
