Velázquez and the Golden Age

This exhibition includes seven works by Diego de Velázquez (1599-1660) and fifty works by major contemporary international artists to the Spanish painter: Tiziano, Rubens, Giordano, Ribera, Brueghel the Elder, Van Dyck, De Lorena, Zurbarán or Murillo.

The works are presented following a thematic expository criterion that allows to better understand the outstanding role of Velázquez, considered one of the great universal artists and precursor of modern painting.

This exhibition is organized in collaboration with the Museo Nacional del Prado.
