First monograph dedicated to the photographic art of Sir Roger A. Deakins, legendary cinematographer and Oscar winner, best known to the general public for his collaborations with the Coen brothers, Sam Mendes and Denis Villeneuve. The book presents a collection of black-and-white photographs taken over the course of five decades, from 1972 to the present day, and for the most part never published. The first section of the book presents photographs taken by Deakins in rural North Devon, South West England, for the Beaford Arts Centre.
