MACBA COLLECTION (ENGLISH)

Any art collection that wishes to become contemporary must become an open space to different interpretations and numerous meanings, excluding cumulative and encyclopaedic intentions. From this idea, in 2002 MACBA did a re-reading of his collection, with the intent ion to reverse the bourgeois, teleological and progressive nature of the history of art that marked much of the collecting activity in Europe.
