ON KAWARA

This book highlights the Japanese conceptual artists production in 1966, the year following his move to New York City and a key pha se in his oeuvre. It was then that he began working on his world-famous date paintings, in dialogue with curator Tommy Simoens, th e final project Kawara undertook in his life. The exhibition marks the first institutional showing of his work in Belgium since 1975 .
