Apperas to Appear offers a visual and textual exploration of the collaborative working methodology shared by the two artistscentred on exercises in translating words into images and vice versa whilst raising questions that lie at the heart of the artistic works they develop together: the relationship between image and word, the performativity and haptic nature of the act of filmmaking, and working with the materiality of analogue cinema, amongst others.
