PLAY WITH COLOUR

Taking inspiration from Paul Klee and the Bauhaus artists, Deuchars has devised a series of simple art activities based on colour. Budding young artists will learn how to create planets that radiate, rainbows that glow, teetering towers, a sea full of colourful fish, and much, much more using simple games and techniques. The book teaches some basic colour theory, and reveals simple tricks such as how to mix colours with coloured pencils using cross-hatching, and how to reveal hidden rainbows of colour by scraping away layers of paint.
