Louis Comfort Tiffany (1848-1933) found inspiration in the gardens of Laurelton Hall, his vast country estate on Long Island s North Shore. There, Tiffany carefully drew and painted the flowering trees, vines, flowers, and fauna that were the chief ornaments of hi s prized glass lamps.
