On the occasion of the 175th anniversary of the birth of photography, an internationally oriented Expo starting on August 2014 in the Carlswerk in Cologne-Mülheim pays homage to the photo book as a form of artistic expression. It contains 39 individual publications designed as fanfold flyers, booklets or posters, each dedicated to one project. The content ranges from the now legendary works of reference on the history of the photo book culture, the experimental origins of the genre in the 1950s, through current artistic positions to special areas such as the photographic novel.
