The artists Peter Weibel and Loys Egg enjoy a longstanding friendship, which has resulted in many collaborative projects. Their Bib liotheca Insomnia dates from 1978-79.Aiming to renew the expressiveness of traditional painting, they created a body of around 170 works on paper, a library that consists neither of pictures nor books, but of pictorial works.
